The Document Review workflow allows an Editor or Reviewer to conduct a QC review on a draft document.

A review workflow must be completed for each document before executing an approval workflow on the document.

However, the Review workflow can be disabled for a specific cabinet of folder by the Workspace Manager and therefore bypassed if needed.

Step 1: Navigate to the relevant draft document and select the Review icon.

Step 2: A Review window will appear, prompting the user to select users to review the document. Select the relevant users and select the Route icon.

Note: The minimum number of users required to review the document will vary depending on the cabinet and/or folder workflow settings as defined by the Workspace Manager.

Step 3: An email notification will be sent to the assigned reviewers and the review task will appear on the Home Dashboard of each reviewer within Kivo.

Step 4: The Review workflow tracks all users (reviewers) participating in the workflow. The workflow can be modified at any time (i.e. reviewers can be changed/added/removed or the entire workflow canceled). To review the document:

a. Select Preview to view the document in a separate tab as a PDF document where annotations and comments can be made.

b. Accept

OR

c. Reject the document (if the document is rejected, select a reason for rejection from a drop-down list). If multiple reviewers are required to accept the document and at least one of them rejects the document, the entire workflow is rejected.

Step 5: If the document review step is accepted (passed), the document can be routed for approval.
