Metadata section in a submission application is a tab where a user can specify all the important metadata information about a submission. The available metadata fields are:
Application Number
Application Type
Submission Type
Sequence Number
Description
Submission Date
Dosage Form
Indication
Strength
Please note that it's not mandatory to capture metadata information, however, if captured, this information is zipped in a metadata zip file which is sent to the publishing organization so that they know the key information like deadlines. Below are steps to capture the metadata information for a submission application:
Step 1: Open the submission builder, and from the list of various submission sequence, open the sequence/ application to which you wish to capture the metadata information.
Step 2: On the top bar of the submission application, click on the Metadata icon and a dropdown will appear where submission application metadata information can be captured.
Step 3: Once all the information is captured correctly click "Save and Close".
Please note that this information can be edited. To edit previously saved information, click on the metadata icon, update the information and save again.
