This release introduces one significant new feature as well as a series of backend improvements and minor usability updates.

Improved UI for viewing Vendors, Investigators, Quality and Regulatory Activities

The new tabbed interface and filters allow users to browse and organize larger lists of vendors, Correspondence, Quality Incidents, etc.

In addition, a Workspace Manager can now define codes for types of activities. This creates a better way to identify things like Deviations or Correspondence. A deviation could be assigned a code of DEV, or a correspondence code of COR. These values can be used to name activity records and align naming conventions throughout the application.

Improvements to Document Control Numbers

This release contains of a host of improvements to how the system manages document control numbers.

First, the DMS document browser prefixes document name with the control number in the document list. This allows you to have a control number that is searchable, and organize documents by control number without manually including it in the document name.

Second, when a user changes doc type/category/artifact values on a document with a control number the system prompts the user to update the control number. This allows you to updating numbering if a document was categorized incorrectly, attributed to the wrong department, or if you need to reset numbering.

A full list of changes will be loaded into your Validation folder in Kivo. Look for the validation documentation for release 2024.Q2.4.
