Release Q3 2022.4 is aimed at usability improvements and support for editing documents in Word Desktop. Additional backend features have been deployed in preparation for eCTD Viewing which will enter beta shortly.
Usability Updates
File upload drag and drop
New versions can be uploaded by dragging and dropping anywhere in the document drawer now. When hovering with a file to drop the drawer will have an inner-glow in Kivo Blue.
Document Alias Reports
The Reports tab now separates out each report into a separate tab and a list of where a document alias is used is available.
Audit Trail Actions Denote Workspace Manager
The audit trail now identifies when a user is in Workspace Manager mode by appending their user name with an icon.
New Feature: Edit in Word Desktop
Previously Kivo supported editing documents in Office 365. Users can now choose to open documents in Word Desktop. The new workflow is not enabled by default. This feature is enabled company-wide and requires mapping your Kivo user account to your Office 365 account. Kivo Support will work with each customer to enable this feature. The feature is also available in a sandbox environment so that you can test workflows, update relevant work instructions or SOPs prior to enabling it in your production account.
A full list of changes will be loaded into your Validation folder in Kivo. Look for the Change Control documentation for release Q3.2022.4.
